A carefully chosen golf related promotional product receives repetitive exposure for a long time.

To get the maximum impact it is important to consider the target audience. The popular misconception is that golf is a middle-aged white man’s sport. In fact 56% of golfers are under 40, a whopping 30% are under 30, 22% are women and 15% are African Americans. Since consumers spend several billion dollars a year on golf equipment and apparel; golfers are always happy to receive some products for free. However traditional gifts like golf shirts don’t appeal across the board to this demographic mix.

Golf gifts do not have to break the bank. Imprinted Tee packets, golf balls, divot tools and ball markers are great to have handy to give out to clients and vendors when playing a round together.

For charity golf events these same products are good to send out with the invitation remembering that “lumpy” mail has a higher response rate than a standard envelope or postcard. On the day of the event serve cold drinks in imprinted beverage cups accompanied by imprinted napkins or provide logoed can coolers and water bottles.

In addition to the short life products mentioned above, for longer life gifts consider –fashion color golf shirts or Mock T’s available with a matching ladies style in one of the new performance fabrics, a V-neck knit vest or windshirt or choose from a wide selection of leather accessories and bags. Although not directly golf related “techie” products have high appeal among the younger set.

For trophies and awards move away from the traditional crystal and wood and look at art glass or metal pieces.
